"A smart, satirical, character-driven take on America's obsession with instant fame via reality TV, "Black Box" follows claustrophobic Scotty Chase, a contestant on a new show that requires players to stay in a box as long as they can. The concept is funny enough, but with great acting, a finely tuned script and a director with a knack for comedy, "Black Box" feels more professional and superbly crafted than the great majority of shorts; it could easily become a feature one day.  -DT
